St. LOUIS BROWNS (now Baltimore Orioles) PENNANT 1944 WORLD SERIES RARE

  
The team was established as a charter member of the American League in 1901 and they were known as the Milwaukee Brewers, obviously located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After the 1901 season, the team relocated to St.

Louis and was renamed the Browns. In 1944, the Browns won their only AL pennant, and faced the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series, which the Browns lost in 6 games. To date, it is the only World Series that was played entirely in the same ballpark.

Louis Browns were again relocated to Baltimore and became the Orioles. As of May 2019, there were only 10 former Browns players still alive. This pennant was provided to me to sell by the original owner who lived in St. Louis and got it at the age of 6 when he attended the 1944 World Series with his dad. The rare pennant is in excellent museum quality condition, with no fraying, tears, stains, or fading on either the front or back.

It is dark blue felt, with cream & yellow color graphics of the teams Knight logo, measures 33 1/2 from tip to the end of the tassels, is 11 1/2 wide, and comes in a hard plastic protector sleeve. This is the best quality vintage felt sports pennant Ive ever seen and would be an outstanding addition to any St. Louis Browns, Baltimore Orioles, baseball, or sports memorabilia collection.
